Attendance and Absences
This is a reminder to all players that if you plan to be absent for 3 consecutive weeks for any reason, please let the exec and your team rep know. The team will have the option of receiving a replacement player for the duration of the absence. Any member who is absent for 3 consecutive weeks or more for a justifiable reason, has the option to apply for a leave of absence. If granted, absences during the leave of absence are not counted against the 4 allowable absences for the season. For more details please see the Attendance Policy.
March Tournament
The March tournament has been accepting team registration for the last couple of weeks. This year we have secured 2 locations each with large 3 gyms. As there seems to be sufficient demand and we have the room to accommodate it, we will be allowing a limited number of individual registrations to the intermediate level tournament being held at St Thomas Aquinas Secondary School on March 24th. Sign up as an individual in the same manner as any of the other Sixes tournament.
More information and registration links for both team and individual sign up can be found on our Tournament page on the website.
Feb Incentive Night
We had a large turnout for our last incentive night held on February 22nd. This was one of the largest turnouts in recent memory. Great to see everyone who made it out.
Here are some pictures for those of you who missed it:
Incentive Night – 22 Feb 2018
Incentive Night
Next Thursday, February 22nd, is our next incentive night. Come to the sponsor bar, the Erin Mills Pump, to meet your fellow members and enjoy a drink on the club.
Post-Realignment Update
Realignment
Realignment has been completed. Some players have been moved between teams to better balance the competitiveness among teams. Individuals and teams which have been affected by realignment have been notified by email. To have a look at the updated teams please see the Teams page on the website.
Tournaments
There is LOTS of room in our Feb 24th Sixes tournament. For those of you who are already signed up that means lots of play time. If you have not yet played in a PCVC tournament this year, this is a great opportunity to do so as the March tournament is a team entry tournament. The March tournament has been opened early for registration. We have already had a few teams sign up, but we have lots of room for more. If you are submitting a team for the K-W tournament in April this is an excellent tournament to use as a warm-up for that event.
More information and registration links can be found on our Tournament page on the website.
Lost Items
Over the past several weeks there have been a number of items left behind. Many of these are water bottles. These items have been put in the equipment bag in each gym. If you have misplaced these items, please claim them. Please check the equipment bag to see if the items belong to you. They will not be stored indefinitely. Thank you to those members who have found lost items and taken the time to report it.
Incentive Night
Next Thursday, February 22nd, is our next incentive night. Come to the sponsor bar, the Erin Mills Pump, to meet your fellow members and enjoy a drink on the club.
Team Names and Reps
For those teams who submitted team names and Reps, thank-you! For the rest, team names and reps have been picked for you. An email will be sent to the team reps outlining expectations for the team rep.
Team Reps and Team Names Due – 8 Feb 2018
If you have not already done so, by end of day Thursday, please:
- Choose a Team Name
- Choose a Team Rep
The Team Rep will be the connection point for the exec on matters related to your team. If you cannot agree on a Team Name or Rep, the executive will be happy to select a name or nominate a rep for you. You can send in your choices either by email or by marking it on the score sheet.
